Beginner-friendly girls golf lessons in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge has quietly become one of the strongest junior golf cities in the Gulf South — but until now, families have struggled to find a structured, beginner-first girls golf program in Baton Rouge. Girls Golf LPGA*USGA Curriculum exists to close that gap with a four-week academy designed for girls who are brand new to the game.

Our Baton Rouge girls golf lessons are delivered in small, girls-only cohorts so confidence comes first. Every drill assumes zero prior experience, loaner clubs are ready on day one — with the option to buy a fitted set at a discount or bring her own — and the schedule is built around real family weeknights, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Santa Maria Driving Range.

Why girls golf matters in Baton Rouge

The Baton Rouge golf community has produced college players, club champions, and lifelong recreational golfers — but the number of girls entering the sport remains far lower than the number of boys. The result: girls who want to try golf often end up in mixed clinics where they're the only girl on the range.

A girls-only environment changes everything. Year-over-year retention for first-time players nearly doubles when the cohort is all girls. The instruction is the same; the social experience is dramatically different.

Built for absolute beginners

Our coaching team is trained in the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf methodology — the gold standard for introducing girls to the game. The four-week curriculum moves intentionally from foundations to short game to full swing to on-course play, so by graduation week every girl has hit shots on a real course.

  • Girls-only cohorts of 8–10 players per track
  • Two age-grouped tracks: 5–8 and 9–13
  • Option to buy a fitted junior set at a discounted academy rate — yours to keep
  • Already have clubs? Bring her own — no extra cost
  • Loaner clubs available on-site at every practice
  • LPGA*USGA Girls Golf-trained coaching staff
  • Parent dashboard with schedule, messages, and photos

Clubs: buy, bring, or borrow

Equipment should never be the reason a girl doesn't try golf. Families have three options: buy a fitted junior set at a discounted academy rate (yours to keep), bring her own clubs if she already has a set, or use loaner clubs we keep on-site at every practice. The only question that matters is whether your daughter enjoys the game.

Schedule and location

The fall cohort runs in September 2026, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Santa Maria Driving Range in Baton Rouge. Two age tracks run back-to-back each evening — 4:00 PM (Ages 5–8) and 5:15 PM (Ages 9–13). A make-up window is reserved for weather; if not needed, it doubles as our official graduation celebration.

A trusted program for Baton Rouge parents

Every coach is background-checked. Child records, photos, and parent communications are kept private inside a dedicated parent dashboard. We follow the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf framework — the same one used by certified Girls Golf sites nationwide.
