Lafayette Girls Golf Lessons

A structured four-week beginner academy for girls across Acadiana. Clubs flexible — buy, bring, or borrow. Tuesdays + Thursdays.

Real lessons for Acadiana girls — not range hours

Most girls golf lessons in Lafayette today are one-off range hours or mixed-gender clinics. That's fine for casual play — but it doesn't build a player, and it doesn't build the social environment that keeps girls in the game. Our four-week academy moves intentionally through foundations, short game, full swing, and on-course play, so by graduation week every girl has hit shots on a real course.

A real curriculum, not a clinic

  • Week 1 — Foundations: grip, posture, alignment, first contact
  • Week 2 — Short game: chipping and putting fundamentals
  • Week 3 — Full swing + course strategy
  • Week 4 — On-course play, skills challenge, graduation

Why these Lafayette lessons are different

Girls-only cohorts. LPGA* USGA-trained coaches. Clubs flexible — buy a fitted set at a discount, bring her own, or use loaner clubs we keep on-site. Three age tracks so 7-year-olds and 14-year-olds aren't lumped together. And a parent dashboard so you never have to text a coach to ask what time pickup is.

Designed for the Acadiana weeknight

Each evening runs three back-to-back age tracks — 4:00 PM (ages 6–8), 5:15 PM (ages 9–12), 6:30 PM (ages 13+) — Tuesdays and Thursdays, so siblings only require one trip and working parents get realistic pickup windows.

For families across Acadiana

The Lafayette cohort is built for families across Lafayette, Broussard, Youngsville, Scott, Carencro, New Iberia, Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, and St. Martinville — Lafayette Parish plus Vermilion, St. Martin, Iberia, and Acadia parishes.

Status: interest list open

The flagship cohort currently runs in Baton Rouge. The Lafayette cohort launches as soon as we confirm minimum enrollment across all three age tracks. Join the interest list to be first in line — and to help us choose the right venue for Acadiana.

FAQ

Lafayette girls golf lessons FAQ

When do Lafayette lessons start?
Lafayette lessons launch when interest-list enrollment hits the minimum across all three age tracks (6–8, 9–12, 13+). Sign up now and you'll be the first notified when the cohort and venue are confirmed.
Will the lessons run in Lafayette itself, or somewhere else in Acadiana?
The venue will be selected once we confirm where the bulk of interest-list families are located — likely central Lafayette or Broussard/Youngsville to keep weeknight drive times realistic for the most families.
What if my daughter has never held a club?
Perfect — that's exactly who this program is built for. Every drill assumes zero prior experience. She can borrow loaner clubs at every practice, bring her own, or buy a fitted junior set at a discounted academy rate — so there's nothing she has to buy before her first session.
What programs do you offer?
Teach Girls Golf Academy runs four program tracks: Beginner Clinics, Academy Series (multi-week seasonal training), Advanced Development (competitive prep), and Tournaments & Events.
What ages are programs for?
Girls ages 6–17, organized into two age tracks per location (typically 5–8 and 9–13) so girls train alongside peers at a similar stage.
Where are programs held?
We run programs in four Louisiana metros: Baton Rouge (City Park Driving Range), New Orleans, Lafayette, and Shreveport. New locations are added seasonally based on demand.
Are absolute beginners welcome?
Yes. Our Beginner Clinics and Academy Series are built for first-time golfers — every session assumes zero prior experience.
Do participants need their own clubs?
No — equipment is available on-site for Beginner Clinics. Academy Series and Advanced Development enrollment includes options for clubs-included tuition.
How do I enroll?
Create a parent account, add your daughter's profile, choose your city, pick the program that fits her stage, and complete secure checkout. You'll get a confirmation email with everything you need for week one.
Is there a competition pathway?
Yes. Advanced Development players and Academy Series graduates can move into our Tournaments & Events track, which culminates in a regional girls golf event each year.
How can businesses sponsor a program?
Three sponsorship tiers are open: Title Sponsor (Academy Season), Event Sponsor (Tournament Series), and Local Business Sponsor (Clinic Supporter). Visit the Sponsors page to review benefits, or email info@teachgirlsgolf.org to discuss a custom partnership.
